Jr. Beta Club

The National Junior Beta Club recognizes high academic achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages service involvement to school and community, fosters leadership skills and provides settings for children to develop interpersonal relationship skills. Nominees and participants must maintain an A average in all classes, and a commendable attitude with excellent behavior.

Prospective Members

All rising 5th graders who achieved straight A's and who exhibited outstanding behavior during their 4th grade year will be eligible to receive an invitation to join the club the first day of 5th Grade. Invitations will again be extended after the 1st eight weeks should a 5th grader make straight A's.

Members are expected to attend every Jr. Beta meeting, wear their club t-shirt to school on meeting days and learn the Jr. Beta pledge by the first meeting.

I hereby declare that I shall always strive

to be honest and truthful at all times;

to maintain a creditable scholastic record;

to be of service to my teachers and fellowmen;

to conduct myself in an ethical and moral manner

to reflect credit upon my school and community.
